Public Speaking and College Preparation

Speech students at QAIS deliver a variety of presentations, both as individuals and in groups. From performance-based speeches, to business and professional marketing campaigns, to debate, students learn to identify the needs of their audience and tailor their presentations to achieve the highest level of engagement. 7th grade student, Skye, gives an informative and enjoyable speech about learning to ride a skateboard, while Jerry, encourages his classmates to learn how to break dance.

Kevin, a university admission counselor from The College of Wooster, spoke to our grade 9-12 students about the academic programs available at his school. He detailed the wonderful undergraduate research possibilities and the active student life at Wooster. This American college is known for its small class sizes, student organizations, and rigorous course work. This is the second university visit our students have attended, the first being from Bryant University in Rhode Island, USA.
